Luly Yang will be showcasing her new line of couture fashion in a runway show that benefits Seattle Children’s Hospital. The event will be held on Friday, April 27, 2012 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. The inspiration for “A Monarch’s Tale” comes from Luly Yang’s famous Monarch butterfly dress, which is one of the first dresses Yang made. The Monarch butterfly theme permeates the show and tells the story of the ten years of Yang’s work. The butterfly is special to Yang, as it represents her metamorphosis from working in architecture and graphics, to becoming a top fashion designer. As a special part of the show, Luly will be designing outfits for five children who have overcome medical issues.
